Community Dashboard 2011 provides an overview of the socioeconomic well-being of Austin and Travis County. By tracking the indicators in this report over time, we identify areas where collective attention and action are needed. Stakeholders from community partner organizations and collaborations have shared their expertise and knowledge about the indicators. Key stakeholders were invited to discuss...
- where we stand on each indicator,
- who is working to move the indicator in the right direction, and
- what more needs to be done.
At the close of each year, we review what we learned about the Community Dashboard indicators at our annual CAN retreat. The discussion at this retreat with 80 - 90 community members, helps to inform the annual CAN Work Plan.
As we see issues that require collaborative action, the CAN Partner agencies develop strategies to work together to address them.
Numerous stakeholders, Issue Area Groups and CAN partner agencies have shared their strategies and plans for moving the CAN Community Dashboard indicators in the right direction. From this input, Community Action Network has created a Strategic Framework for Action.
This draft document is proposed to provide a common language that can be used across jurisdictions to facilitate coordination and collaborative action.
